What is Cub Scouting?
Cub Scouting is a family-focused program designed to help kids in kindergarten through fifth grade grow in character, citizenship, and fitness while having a ton of fun! Through hands-on activities, outdoor adventures, service projects, and learning new skills, Cub Scouts build confidence and friendships that last a lifetime. Whether it's launching rockets, going camping, racing Pinewood Derby cars, or learning to help others, there's something for every child in Cub Scouting.
Cub Scouting is organized by grade level, with age-appropriate activities and achievements that lead to rank advancement each year. Parents and caregivers play an active role, making Cub Scouting a great way to spend quality time together as a family while connecting with your local community.

Pack 79 earns JTE Gold Award for 2024!
We’re proud to share that our Cub Scout pack has earned the Journey to Excellence Gold Award from Scouting America, the highest level of recognition for Scouting units nationwide. This award is a reflection of our commitment to delivering a high-quality program that emphasizes fun, advancement, outdoor adventure, service, and family involvement. It shows that our pack is not just active, but thriving. With strong leadership and great participation, we focus on helping every Scout do their best.
The Journey to Excellence program sets benchmarks in areas like planning, retention, recruitment, training, and community service. Earning the Gold Award means we’re meeting or exceeding those benchmarks and offering a program that helps Scouts grow in character and confidence while having a great time. We’re excited to build on this success and continue delivering outstanding experiences to every Cub Scout and family in our pack.
